Aluminum alloy has good mechanical properties, small density, good conductivity and thermal conductivity, so aluminium spare parts are widely used in industry. The strength and hardness of aluminum alloy are low, and the cutting load is small. Due to the good thermal conductivity, fast heat dissipation, and low melting point of aluminum alloy, which is about 600 °, the aluminum alloy debris is easy to stick on the drill bit, forming chip accretion when machining small aluminium parts, which affects the cutting performance of aluminium spare parts. In order to reduce the occurrence of chip accretion, especially to avoid the residual traces of chip accretion sticking to the front when it disappears, the front (spiral groove) and back cutting surfaces of the cutting edge of the bit should be polished to more than 0.8 μ m with oilstone.
