Common failure and prevention of two kinds of cylinder liner
1. Typical problems of dry cylinder liner
Cylinder liner and cylinder body fit poorly: insufficient interference during installation, resulting in reduced heat dissipation efficiency, local overheating caused cylinder pulling.
Uneven inner wall wear: piston offset cylinder (connecting rod bending or cylinder block deformation) leads to unilateral wear of cylinder liner, appearing "waist drum shape".
Preventive measures: Periodically check the cylinder pressure to avoid long-term overload operation of the engine, and measure the matching gap between the cylinder liner and the cylinder block during overhaul (standard value is usually 0.02-0.05mm).
2. Typical problems of wet cylinder liner
Aging of the seal ring leakage: vehicles used for more than 5 years are prone to hardening of the seal ring, resulting in coolant infiltration into the oil pan (oil emulsification, milky white).
Cavitation (cavitation) damage: Bubbles in th…
